Departure in early morning from Kukljica, by boat

Travel by tourist class bus to the Krka Falls

SIGHTSEEING

Sightseeing of the Skradinski buk cascades :

walking over footpaths and little bridges

visiting mills with the corresponding content: ethnologic collection, stamping-mill,

rollers, mills and weaver’s shop with professional presentation)

other (souvenir shop, buffet etc.). After visiting the Skradinski buk cascades

we board the ship and start towards the islet of Visovac.

The excursion to Visovac includes:

a visit to the Franciscan convent

sightseeing through the convent, a tour around the church, visiting subterranean

tombs, incunabula and seeing rare books. After sightseeing we board the ship

and according to the mutual agreement we continue sailing towards the Roski

slap Falls or return to the Skradinski buk cascades.

Excursion to the Roski slap Falls includes:

sailing on the Upper Krka River

visiting the Roski slap Falls

sailing two kilometres through a 150 m deep Krka Canyon to the first cascades.

The NP Krka covers the area along the river Krka, which springs north-east of Knin (3 km) and flows through a deep and picturesque canyon of a lenght of 75 km; it forms thundering waterfalls - Krcic, Risnjak, Miljacka, Roski slap (26 m high) and the famous Skradinski buk (Krka waterfalls, 46 m height), representing the largest travertine barrier in Europe.

In its lower flow, the river runs through Prukljan lake, after which it enters the 9 km long Sibenik bay. There are also two cultural-historical monuments of interest and importance within the NP Krka, the Franciscan monastery on island of Visovac and the Krka monastery. Among the several picturesque settlements along the river flow, Skradin represents the most interesting of them, a small town protected as a cultural monument.
