The island of Ugljan stretches alongside
the coastline and all the towns are situated along the northeast
coast, near cultivable land. Southwest coast is mostly steep
and inaccessible and on the southeast part of the island is
best-indented. |

| KUKLJICA -
the most developed seaside resort on the island
of Ugljan. It features a number of coves with nice
beaches, clear seawater and dense pine forests.
Especially interesting are the sand beaches of
Sabusa and Jelenica on the southern coast of Ugljan |

 |
 |

 |
 |
 |
| KALI -
typical Mediterranean village, the largest
place on all of the Zadar islands and one
of the most popular fishermen's villages
on the Adriatic. Its specific atmosphere
is created by numerous fishermen's boats
docked in the harbour. The traditional
Kali Fishermen's Night is held in August. |

| PREKO -
a traffic, communication and administrative centre of the island of Ugljan. Although it is situated on the island, due to its closeness of Zadar and regular ferry lines (only 30 minutes drive), Preko has all features of a suburban zone. Preko has a long tradition in tourism. |

| POLJANA -
one of the smallest places on the island.
Its main assets include peacefulness and

a small tourist destination and harbor, on the eastern coast of the island of
